Merit Badges


Peace Corps Merit Badges is a fun and meaningful way for Volunteers to help improve their host country, find humor in and deepen their Peace Corps service, and share their unique experiences with fellow Volunteers, family and friends back home. To achieve this Vision we will stay committed to our goals, provide strong leadership and seek ways to expand this project for the good of all people.

Current Progress
We have officially launched PeaceCorpsMeritBadges.com publicly after an extensive two month review with dozens of people from around the world. We have started our campaign within Mongolia targeting current PCVs and are in negotiations with NPCA. We have already sold dozens of badges in our first month made by our friend Tseesuren.
Join Us

In addition to our main site, we have also launched a Facebook application which allows people to share merit badges with each other and promote the project. Please feel free to join us there, to share your ideas, submit badge designs, and tell us what you think!
Host Country Improvement
Improving the quality of life of the people in our host country by providing resources, opportunities and encouragement to local businesses and community members. This includes our friends who create badges and charities to which we donate our proceeds.


Volunteer Happiness
Improving the quality of life of Peace Corps Volunteers by providing humor, camaraderie, and fun reflection with our shared experiences. This includes the badges themselves but more importantly the stories we share with one another about our Peace Corps service.


Sharing Experiences
Achieving the Third Goal of Peace Corps by sharing our experiences with our family, friends, fellow Volunteers and American citizens. These merit badges are not only a fun conversation starter but a tangible reminder of our incredible Peace Corps service as Volunteers.


Merit Badge Quality
We recognize how important it is to maintain clear intentions and remain respectful of our host country, our host country's people and Peace Corps while also having fun. We are committed to the quality of all merit badge designs, descriptions, stories and activities.
